Letter from his sister, Jean, to King’s College in 1951:


With reference to your letter dated 4 April 1951. I must confirm that my brother Denham Vernon Warner was missing from 18th October 1943 and since then confirmed “Presumed killed in operations off the West Coast of Scotland.” He was in the Coastal Command in Beau fighters. He enlisted 1940 and trained in Canada where he received his commission and later became a Flight Officer before he was reported missing.
