Stewart, Robert Young Stevenson
Robert was born in East Ham on 30 August 1916 son of John Hunter Stewart MBE and Jean Blair Stewart of Shirley. He lived at 89 The Glade Croydon. After leaving Selhurst he went to King's College London and London University where he obtained a BA double first. He was a member of the school dramatic society and played for the Rugby 1st XV. Robert was killed in action at Imphal, India on 16 May 1942. Old Croydonians
