NotesLetter from G.W. Isaacs, A/secretary to the Military Education Committee. “ was in the University of London O.T.C. in 1939 and obtained a commission as 2nd Lieutenant WRA 15/12/1939. His name disappeared from the Army List after January 1942, and it was noted that the name I. R. Hyde was given in the Air Force List as having obtained a commission as Pilot Officer R.A.F.V.R. in December, 1941. Therefore, it seems likely that Ian Robertson Hyde transferred from the Army to the Air Force, but I have no confirmation of this.”
