Alan Gillett of Leatherhead / who worshipped and served in this / church and gave his life in action over / Germany on 13th January 1943 aged 22 / May light perpetual shine upon him.

A King’s College internal letter from W. K. Medway  ‘D. S. Gillett was such a nice boy, the David Youens type. They will be sadly missed in the post-war period’.
