Fairweather, Donovan James
Fairweather was born in India in 1915, the only son of Colonel and Mrs. Fairweather. He was educated at King’ s College School, at King’ s College, Strand and then at the King’ s College Hospital Dental School, qualifying L,D.S., R.C.S. in 1939.
He was one of that outstanding crowd of dental students who, for a year or two, practically ran the athletic and social activities of the Medical School. He was a fine athlete, his specialities being hockey and cricket, and an enthusiastic member of the sailing club.
He was very quiet and rather reserved, but he was a friendly soul, a good companion and had a grand sense of humour. Everyone who knew him will be sorry that he is gone. King’ s College Hospital Gazette, January 1941
