Notes | Letter from his father to King’s College dated 23 April 1949. My son Harold Norman Carter was born 4th April 1914 and passed on to Higher Service 12 Jan. 1945. Previous to attending King’s College, he was at Sir Walter Dr. John’s School, Battersea, where during his last year he obtained his Higher School Cert. with exemption from Inter B.A. Your records will show that he passed his Inter L.L.B., but the war somewhat hindered his studies. At the time of entering the Service he was engaged with the Westminster City Council as their Re-housing officer.
