Adamson, Maurice Leslie
Second Lieutenant Maurice Leslie Adamson, Royal Scots Fusiliers, attached to 10th Royal Irish Rifles, was the son of Sir Harvey Adamson, late Lieutenant Governor of Burma. He was educated at Haileybury College, King's College, London, and Pullman Agricultural College, Washington State, America. He held an appointment in the Bank of Montreal. At the outbreak of the war he enlisted in the Canadian contingent, and after training at Valcartier came to England with the contingent. He was given a temporary commission in the Royal Irish, and subsequently a permanent commission in the Royal Scots Fusiliers. He went to the Front with the 10th Royal Irish in October, 1915, and was killed in action on July 1st 1916, aged 23. King's College Review Dec. 1916
