William Hill gave evidence at the Old Bailey in the trial of the resurrection men (burkers) John Bishop, Thomas Williams and James May in the case known as the Italian Boy murder. They were found guilty and hanged for the murder of  Carlo Ferarai (alias Charles Farrier) after they had attempted to sell his body to King’s College London for dissection.
