Description

Storming the Sampaga Pass. Photograph depicts a gun battery, two cannon are visible, a soldier is crouched on the right side of the photograph looking towards the battery nearest to him. There are two men at the cannon one is obscured behind the other who is leaning over. There is another cannon on the far left of the photograph.The landscape is of rocky desolate appearance with some scrubby grass. In the distance is a range of hills or mountains.
