Description

Photograph of Turkish barbed wire defences, east of Cape Helles lighthouse, with view of Allied fleet in background. The caption on the reverse reads "Some of the barbed wire entanglements near Saddul-Bahr are still in position. It will be noticed on the left of the picture that the tops of the supports holding up the barbed wire are serrated so as to add to the formidable nature of the defence." No 2303.
