The caption on the reverse, written by Lt Aubrey Lees reads: "A Rolls Royce armoured car stuck in the chai between Kirkuk and [Kuiqenbau] (on my way to [Khaiuquim]). I am proud to relate that I steered the "Flying Henry" across this shingly bottomed [slicam] without mishap, but it gives you an idea of what motoring is in 'Iraq'". [1922-1925]
