Photograph of a raft being constructed by a group of Iraqis in Quraghan, Iraq. The caption on the reverse, written by Lt Aubrey Lees reads "A raft being constructed under my direction to convet the "Flying Henry" across the Diyala at Quraghan. The two corracles [sic] (probably the oldest type of boat in existence) are called "Gufas" and are made of rope and pitch." [1922-1925]
