French illustrated history of the First World War, in two volumes. This selection focuses on 1915 and covers a broad range of activity including the Italian Front, Russian Front, Serbia, Champagne and the naval war in the Adriatic and North Sea including photographs and illustrations of submarines, sinking ships and lifeboats. Other images include inspections, artillery, trenches, military hospitals, wounded and reviews of British propaganda including recruitment posters.
