Notes in Italian, in an unknown hand, used by Byron for Marino Faliero. NLS Ms.43385Although based on historical events and characters, Byron adapted the story of Marino Faliero to fit a dramatic story-line and to support his ambition of seeing popular political change brought about through aristocratic leadership.
