Crest of Chelsea CollegeCrest of Queen Elizabeth CollegeThe Student Days project highlights historical, academic and social developments at Chelsea and Queen Elizabeth Colleges, as portrayed through the ephemera and photographic collections of the two Colleges, now held in King's College London Archives.
Throughout their considerable history, notable alumni and former staff of Chelsea and Queen Elizabeth Colleges included:
- Dirk Bogarde, Actor - Studied Commercial Art at Chelsea Polytechnic
- Paul Nash, Painter - Attended Chelsea Polytechnic School of Art
- Henry Moore, Sculptor - Teacher at Chelsea School of Art from 1931
- Graham Sutherland, Painter - Tutor in engraving at Chelsea School of Art from 1926
- Virginia Woolf, Author - Studied Greek, Latin, History and German in the Ladies' Department at King's College (a predecessor of Queen Elizabeth College), 1897-1902
- Evelyn Underhill, Mystic and Religious Writer - Read history and botany at King's College for Women
- John Yudkin, Nutritionist - Student at Chelsea Polytechnic and Professor of Physiology at Queen Elizabeth College (initiated first university course in Nutrition)
- Quentin Blake, Cartoonist and Illustrator - Student at Chelsea School of Art, 1960s
