Policing Sport: WADA
Fencing at King'sThe World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is an independent foundation set up in 1999 by the International Olympic Committee, national sporting organisations and governments, and is now central to a worldwide initiative to stamp out doping and promote fairness in sport.
WADA monitors compliance with the World Anti-Doping Code, co-ordinates testing and provides expert advice to athletes, not least via the annual publication of a 'Prohibited List' of banned substances.
