The interwar period witnessed growing commercial promotion of convenience foods as speedier distribution, improved storage methods such as canning and new preparation mechanisms.

Domestic refrigerators and stoves became more common.

The recipe booklet illustrated here features a photograph of Dorothy Daisy Cottington-Taylor who studied at King’s College London, 1914-1915.
