Organisation of the Dervish Forces
The organisation of the Dervish military forces followed a fixed hierarchy that placed Hassan at the top.
The British forces in Somaliland had carried out extensive research into the structure and organisation of the Dervish Forces.
Additionally they created personality profiles for important members in the movement and kept note of symbols that were related to the Dervish.
