Administrative / Biographical history

Served in World War Two with No 2 Inland Waterways and Port Construction Unit, Royal Engineers and was involved in the preparation of dossiers on enemy occupied ports for use by port construction and repair companies.

Immediate source of acquisition or transfer

Copies made by the Centre in 1984 from originals loaned by the family.

Copy of dossier containing maps, plans and technical data on the port of Boulogne, produced by the Director of Ports and Inland Water Transport, War Office, for the use of port construction and repair companies engaged on the rehabilitation of ports damaged by enemy action, [1943-1944].
