84 General Information Wellington Hall 71 Vincent Square Westminster SW1P 2PA Warden Miss Judith Champ This Hall of Residence originally built in 1913 with an extension in 1929 has recently been extensively refurbished There are 69 single study bedrooms and 23 shared rooms all provided with wash-hand basins with hot and cold water and all the public rooms are centrally heated The fees include breakfast and dinner on weekdays only The Hall is the nearest to the College situated centrally near Westminster Abbey Westminster Cathedral Parliament and Buckingham Palace There are convenient buses but it is possible to walk to the College The Hall is well provided with common rooms as well as library and quiet room for study Kings College Hall Champion Hill London SE5 8AN Warden Parr phil ph Extensions to King's College Hall made possible by the generosity of an anonymous benefactor were completed in two stages in 1966 and 1971 re- spectively The Hall now comprising the old Platanes residence and the new extensions has accommodation for the most part in single study-bedrooms though places are also available in shared rooms at reduced fee for small number of residents Vacation residence is available at higher rate The fees include breakfast and dinner on weekdays and breakfast lunch and tea at weekends All study-bedrooms are provided with wash-basins with hot and cold water and all public rooms are centrally heated The Hall stands in pleasant grounds of more than four acres with lawns and gardens on the higher part of Denmark Hill There are very convenient bus and train services to the College which can be reached in about 30 minutes King's College Hospital is within walking distance of the Hall and places are available in Hall for students of the Hospital The Hall is well provided with common rooms and other social amenities as well as libraries and quiet rooms for study there are principal and supplementary common rooms television rooms rooms for billiards table-tennis and music and two squash courts Halliday Hall South Side Clapham Common London SW4 9BS Warden Price ph Halliday Hall was built as hotel in the 1930s and much of its unique atmosphere derives from this original use There is for instance very large number of study bedrooms with their own bathrooms the rooms themselves offer an interesting variety of shapes and sizes and the provision of lounges library and other public rooms is unusually generous There is also large and
