Library Facilities 175 The card catalogues are maintained in comprehensive form only in Room 101 of the Strand Building The card catalogues provided in any other of the reading rooms contain details of the books kept in that room only The microfiche catalogue is produced in three versions authors and titles in single alphabetical sequence subjects and classified complete copy of each version is provided in every reading room Detailed guidance on the most effective ways of consulting all catalogues whether card or microfiche is available throughout the Library Subject Libraries Arts The English German Italian Portuguese and Brazilian Spanish and Spanish American libraries together with collection of books on general language and literature are accommodated on the 2nd floor of the Strand Building and the History Philosophy and War Studies libraries with the Liddell Hart library on the 3rd The Enk Classical library and the Burrows library of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies are housed on the mezzanine of the main reading room of the Old Library The French library is accommodated in the departmental area in rooms 10 and 17 SWB with an ancillary collection in room SWB Education The Education library is shelved in the main reading room of the Old Library Theology The Theology and Ecclesiastical History libraries are housed in the main reading rooms of the Old Library Books from the Box library of Hebrew and Old Testament studies can be obtained on application to the Library staff Music The Music library is housed in the Faculty building 152-153 Strand Laws The Laws library is situated in the upper reading rooms of the Old Library Periodicals Law Reports and certain other books are for reference only The French library is open from 30 until on Mondays to Fridays in term at other times readers should apply al the Old Library desk for books to be fetched for their use
