Faculty of Laws Second Year All candidates take the following each one semester Law of Taxation Private International Law Special Contracts Law of International Commerce Accounts In addition candidates take ONE of the following groups the Business Law group which consists of Banking and Stock Exchange Transactions one semester English Company Law one semester Labour Law two semesters European Commercial Law one semester 10 One of the following each one semester Corporation Law in the United States Insurance Real Securities International Tax Law Industrial Property the French Bar group which consists of 11 Criminal Procedure one semester 12 Special Criminal Law one semester 13 Civil Procedure one semester 14 Judicial Organisation one semester 15 Family Law one semester 16 Either Real Securities one semester or Matrimonial Regimes one semester Successful candidates are awarded not only the degree of LL English and French Law of the University of London but also the maitrise en droit prive mention 'droits fran ais et anglais' of the University of Paris and are thus qualified to proceed directly to professional legal training in either or both countries THE LL WITH GERMAN LAW The course for the LL with German Law extends over four years The course and examination for the first and second years are the same
