General Information Faculty Two academic departments Biophysics and Plant Sciences are housed outside the main College site The Department of Bio- physics is situated in Drury Lane about five minutes' walk from the Strand The Department of Plant Sciences conducts its classes at Half Moon Lane Dulwich near to Heme Hill and North Dulwich railway stations and can be reached by bus services from the Strand There is field centre for multidiscipline ecological studies at Rogate in Sussex Residential accommodation for students has had to be sought away from the Strand and the College possesses three halls of residence- at Vincent Square SWi Clapham Common SW4 and Champion Hill SE5 The College athletic ground is at Mitcham in Surrey within reasonable travelling distance of the College Daily Service and Lectures in Theology College service is held in the Chapel at the opening and close of each term On the first day of term the service is at 10 00 and on the last day at noon No student is under any compulsion to attend and no student may be subject to any disability on account ofhis religious belief but timetables are so arranged as to leave the time of this service free from lectures There is also daily service in term time Morning Prayers daily at 30 the College Eucharist on Wednesdays at 00 12 noon on the last day of term Holy Communion is also celebrated at 10 on Fridays and Major Festivals There is Roman Catholic Mass twice weekly at times advertised on the Chapel noticeboard The College provides weekly lectures in theology in the Michaelmas and Lent terms and the time-table of classes in each faculty is so ar- ranged as to allow any student who wishes to attend these lectures but no one is compelled to do so The lectures are designed for students desiring the Associateship of King's College and are provided for all full-time registered students of the College without extra fee The normal time is 10 on Mondays an alternative hour is provided at 10 00 on Wednesdays for 2nd and 3rd year students in the Faculties of Natural Science Medical Science and Engineering and those students in the Faculty of Arts attending intercollegiate lectures who are unable to attend on Monday Students can also be admitted by special permission to attend without extra fee single course of lectures mong those regularly given in the Faculty of Theology
