96 General Information Residence Students in London live in wide variety of accommodation For some students the hall of residence with its own social life is the ideal place to live whde others prefer to live more independently in flats or lodg- ings As flats are not easy to find new students who will not be living at home are strongly advised to seek accommodation in hall or at addresses provided by the University of London Accommodation Office list of halls of residence which offer accommodation to King's College students is given below and students wishing to live in any of them should write direct for an application form and further details As the number of places in halls is limited applications for admission can be considered only from persons who have been offered place in the College whether unconditional or conditional Fees quoted are those current at the time of going to press but may be raised without notice KING'S COLLEGE HALLS OF RESIDENCE The fees where quoted are for session 1979-80 the Council and Delegacy reserve the right to raise them without notice Kings College Hall and Halliday Hall have common application form which may be obtained from either Hall stamped-addressed envelope must be sent with the enquiry The completedform should be returned to the Hall of first choice by 31 May King's College Hostel Vincent Square Westminster SW1P 2PA Warden Rev Hickling This Hostel is open to men students preference being given to members of the Faculty of Theology It was built in 1913 and final wing with Chapel and Library was added in 1929 Provision is made for full board on Saturdays and Sundays and for breakfast tea and dinner on other days The inclusive charge is Ā£678 for session of 30 weeks For conditions of entry regulations etc application should be made to the Warden The Hostel will be closed in session 1980-81 for improvement and extension The College reserves the right to raise fees without notice King's College Hall Champion Hill London SE5 8AN Warden Warnes ph Extensions to King's CoUege Hall made possible by the generosity of an anonymous benefactor were completed in two stages in 1966 and 1971 re- spectively The Hall now comprising the old Platanes residence and the new extensions is open to both men and women students of King's College Accommodation is for the most part in single study-bedrooms though places
