124 Faculties and Courses of Study Obligations two semesters Business Law first part two semesters Labour Law two semesters Second Year Public Liberties one semester Business Law second part two semesters Private International Law one semester and six of the following each being one semester 10 The Family 11 Property Relations and the Family matrimonial systems succes- sion 12 Real Securities 13 Special contracts 14 Judicial organisation and civil procedure 15 Penal law and penal procedure 16 International Commercial Law 17 European social welfare law 18 Corporation Law in the United States Candidates seeking to qualify for practice at the French Bar must take the examination leading to the Certificat d'Aptitude la profession d'avocat and may select only two of the subjects 10-18 above excluding Judicial organisation and civil procedure Postgraduate Courses HIGHER DEGREES LL candidate may obtain the LL degree by passing at one and the same examination in any four of the specified subjects The duration of the course of study is normally one year Internal and external graduates of the University of London and graduates of other universities may be admitted to the course In- tending candidates should consult the University Regulations in the Faculty of Laws for Internal Students which can be obtained from the Academic Registrar University of London Senate House London WC1E 7HU
