96 General Information As the number of vacancies occurring in halls each year is very limited applications for admission should be made as early as possible Students seeking lodging accommodation are urged to write to the Accommo- dation Office as soon as they know they will be requiring the assistance of the Accommodation Officer in finding accommodation KING'S COLLEGE HALLS OF RESIDENCE The fees where quoted are for session 1gjS-jg the Council and Delegacy reserve the right to raise them without notice King's College Hostel Vincent Square Westminster SW1P 2PA Warden Rev Hickling This Hostel is open to men students preference being given to members of the Faculty of Theology It was built in 1913 and final wing with Chapel and Library was added in 1929 Provision is made for full board on Saturdays and Sundays and for breakfast tea and dinner on other days The inclusive charge is £678 for session of 30 weeks For conditions of entry regulations etc application should be made to the Dean King's College Strand WC2R 2LS The future of this Hostel is under consideration The College reserves the right to raise fees without notice King's College Hall Champion Hill London SE5 8AN Warden Warnes ph Extensions to King's College Hall made possible by the generosity of an anonymous benefactor were completed in two stages in 1966 and 1971 re- spectively The Hall now comprising the old Platanes residence and the new extensions is open to both men and women students of King's College Accommodation is for the most part in single study-bedrooms though places are also available in shared rooms at reduced fee for small number of resi- dents The fee for full session of 30 weeks is £678 for single study-bedroom reduction for shared rooms all fees are payable at the College Office in advance by equal termly instalments Vacation residence is available at higher rate The fees include breakfast and dinner on weekdays and breakfast lunch and tea at weekends All study-bedrooms are provided with wash-basins with hot and cold water and all public rooms are centrally heated The Hall stands in pleasant grounds of more than four acres with lawns and gardens on the higher part of Denmark Hill There are very convenient bus and train services to the College which can be reached in about 30 minutes King's College Hospital is within walking distance of the Hall and places are available in Hall for students of the Hospital The Hall is well provided with common rooms and other social amenities as well as libraries and quiet rooms for study there are principal and supplementary common rooms television rooms rooms for billiards table-tennis and music and two squash courts The College reserves the right to raise fees without notice
