cii Annual Report of the Delegacy America where research on the toxicity of secondary plant compounds is being conducted He was also invited to lecture to the Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina at its meeting in Wartburg and to the Phytochemical Society in Swansea Professor Bradbeer gave invited lectures at the British Society of Cell Biology Symposium on 'The Biogenesis of Chloroplasts and Mitochondria' at the University of Warwick at the Society for Experimental Biology Fiftieth Anniversary Meeting at Cambridge at the Association of Applied Biologists Symposium on 'Photorespira- tion' in London and at an International Symposium on Environmental and Biological control of Photosynthesis held in Gorsem Belgium He also presented two papers to the rd International Congress in Photosynthesis Research in Israel and took part in post conference workshop on chloroplast development He also gave demonstration at Cambridge and chaired session at Gorsem We are pleased to report the conferment of the title of Professor of Biology on Dr Hall With Professor Bradbeer he gave an Inter- collegiate course on Chloroplasts Professor Hall lectured at Les Arcs France University of Maryland Institute of Electrical Engineers London University of Birmingham and University of London Chelsea College He lectured at Vancouver Canada San Francisco California Rehovoth Israel Wurzburg Germany University of Wales Aberystwyth University of Stanford Case Western Reserve University University of Rhode Island Oxford University University of Reading Architectural Association London Central Office of Information London Institute of Physics London Royal Institution London University of Naples University of Liverpool University of Copenhagen Denmark University of Lund Sweden University of Nijmegen Netherlands He was appointed an Editor of Origins of Life formerly Space Life Sciences and made Member of the International Advisory Committee at the Third International Congress on Photosynthesis Israel and Committee Member of the Section of the International Solar Energy Society He was also interviewed on Radio 'Scientifically Speaking' and received grants for Solar Energy Research from NATO and the Wolfson Foundation Dr Moore gave invited lectures in Cambridge University and at the University Colleges of Aberystwyth and Swansea Dr Cammack gave invited lectures in the Universities of Dundee and Sussex and paper at the Vlth International Congress on Magnetic Resonance in Biological Systems in Kandersteg Switzerland
