lxxxviii Annual Report of the Delegacy lectured at the 161st Conference at Wilton Park on the subject 'National Sovereignty-some thoughts on the legal concept' In July he gave course of five lectures at the Hague Academy of International Law Professor Chloros continued as External Examiner in Laws for Exeter University and the University of Dublin He was also the member of the Provisional Academic Committee of the University Institute in Florence He has been appointed Visiting Professor to the University of Paris for the academic year 1974 75 Professor Kiralfy acted as External Examiner in Soviet Law for Surrey University and in Legal Theory and Legal History for Sussex University He gave two lectures on these subjects at Birmingham University and attended Conference on Legal Philosophy in Edin- burgh in March 1974 taking the chair at one of the sessions Professor Guest gave series of lectures to overseas legal officers in the course organised by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office under Sir Vincent Evans Professor Cohn gave lectures as Visiting Professor at the Uni- versity of Augsburg and the University of Manchester Mr Hughes Sub-Dean of the Faculty continued as Chairman of the Board of Examiners for the LL for external students he gave course of lectures on Law to students of Mining and Mineral Tech- nology at the Royal School of Mines at Imperial College The usual annual group of foreign lawyers taking course in English Common Law at the College under the auspices of the British Council was augmented this year to include lawyers from Belgium Denmark France Germany Holland and Italy Lectures were given to these students by most members of the Faculty staff and the course again proved very successful one Students gaining distinction during the year were-Mr Stewart who was awarded the Barry Prize and Mr Phillips who gained the 2nd Leathes Prize in the Examination FACULTY OF MEDICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT OF ANATOMY Number of Students 2nd 251 2nd 61
