lxxiv Annual Report of the Delegacy mouth Polytechnic and given talks at University College London and to the London Region of the Open University He attended the Bailey Conference at Guildford and the Anglo-American Conference of Historians in London Mr Paskins was discussant with Bishop Kunst at the Conference on Christian Approaches to Defence and Disarmament at Friedewald attended the Aristotelian Society Joint Sessions the Southampton Conference on 'The external use of military force by middle-rank and lesser powers' and the Imperial War Museum Conference on 'Film and World War II' read papers on 'War and philosophy' at the Open University and 'The morals of detente' at Wilton Park and organised with the Dean of King's 'Fridays at Ten' lecture course on 'War in the seventies' This year for the first time the programme started with 48-hour residential course at Cumberland Lodge on 'The Soldier in the Modern World' This was such success that we are repeating it this year theme 'The Soldier and the Politician' and hope to make it an integral part of the course in the future On December 7th 1973 in co-operation with the British Atlantic Group of Young Politicians and the United States Embassy we held very successful one-day seminar at King's on Aspects of Atlantic Security Today with the late Dr Wayne Wilcox Mr Christopher Tugendhat and Dr Christoph Bertram as guest speakers Joint Seminars with the National Defence College were again organised FACULTIES OF ARTS AND SCIENCE department of geography Number of Students Geography Registered at 49 Sc Geography Registered at 53 Registered at 84 Sc Geography Geology Joint Honours Registered at 14 Sc Geography Mathematics Joint Honours Registered at
