Annual Report of the Delegacy xliii Ernest Barker he has been attached to the Anatomy Department since 1929 and for many years now has been its Chief Technician Cheerful and competent ever ready to give help and advice whether to professors or to students Mr Hogwood has earned for himself special place in the affections of many generations at King's He saw the opening of the Hambleden Department of Anatomy and has seen the imminent completion of Stage II in Surrey Street and throughout this period of nearly half century his skill as photographer has enabled the College to record the many changes that have occurred The Delegacy place on record their sincere appreciation of the service Mr Hogwood has given so consciously and so long-as man and as technician his like will be hard to replace-and send to him and to Mrs Hogwood their best wishes for many years of happy retirement Mr Platt Mr Platt retires at the end of this session as Senior Lecturer in Electrical Engineering member of the staff since 1947 he has made valuable contributions to the work of the faculty and department He has been well known in the Common Room for his friendliness and accessibility and his particular hobby and great know- ledge of railways and their history have been one of the facets of life which makes the College hive of information By his students he has been regarded with respect and liking and to him and Mrs Platt the Delegacy extend their best wishes for many years of useful and happy retirement Mr Wellwood The Delegacy would like to record their appreciation of the services of Mr James Wellwood who is retiring after being part-time Lecturer in the Faculty of Laws since 1946 graduate of Trinity College Dublin Wellwood has been an extremely well-known and well-liked member of the Common Room as well as in the Faculty of Laws and his departure will result in an absence in the society at King's which it will be difficult to replace Resignations From the end of the session unless otherwise indicated Faculty of Medical Science Mr Allan Lecturer in Anatomy Mr Η Bishop Lecturer in Anatomy from March 31st 1974 Mr Evans Lecturer in Anatomy Mr Hammersley from December 31st 1973 Professor Vollrath Professor of Anat- omy
