xx Annual Report of the Coundl There should be one Finance Committee of the College Membership of the one Governing Body of the Professorial Board and of all Committees of both should be subject to detailed con- sideration with the accepted aim of bringing all sections of those who work and study at the College into system where their learning ex- perience and abilities can best be used for the well-being of the whole community All staff academic technical manual and others should be engaged and employed by the one Governing Body to whom they would be responsible It is assumed that Professors and Readers Appointed Teachers would continue to be appointed by the Uni- versity All students should be eligible for membership of the Students' Union Society and the rules and regulations affecting all students would be the responsibility of the Governing Body General Comment An immense amount of detailed work will be necessary if the above outline proposals receive general approval Many aspects have not even been mentioned-e the present Trust Funds of the Council its property the tenure of Council Staff But these problems and many more are susceptible of resolution It is suggested that if after due con- sideration the Council and the Delegacy are satisfied that the time for radical change is opportune then with professional advice and internal goodwill new stage in the evolution of King's College can success- fully be accomplished Printed in Great Britain by Richard Clay The Chaucer Press Ltd Bungay Suffolk
