140 Faculties and Courses of Study sc degree in human environmental studies This option is concerned with the effects on man of recent advances in science and technology The courses are interdisciplinary and second and third year students will combine human environmental courses with choice of specialised options CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Before admission to College candidates must satisfy the University's general requirements and the following course requirements For all courses in the Science Faculty students are required to have Mathe- matics at least at Ordinary level grade Β or in or after June 1975 and an adequate command of English sc degree courses specialising in one subject For entry to the following courses candidates will normally be re- quired to have passed at Advanced Level in General Certificate of Education examination or an examination of equivalent standard in the subjects indicated below Mathematics Pure Mathematics and Applied Mathematics or other approved options Physics Physics or Physical Science or Engineering Science and one of Pure Mathematics Mathematics Pure and Applied Further Mathe- matics or one of the examinations in Modern Mathematics Chemistry Chemistry or Physical Science and Physics or Mathematics or Biological Subject and preferably one other subject Physics at least to Ordinary level is required Geology Any two or preferably three science subjects Geography Geography and any one or preferably two other science subjects Biochemistry Cell Biology Botany Pharmacology Physiology Zoology Chemistry or Physical Science and two from Biology Botany Zoology Physics Mathematics Pure Mathematics Applied or Mathematics Pure and Apphed Biology may not be offered with either Botany or Zoology nor Mathematics Pure and Applied with Mathematics Pure or Mathematics Applied For Biochemistry at
