Annual Report of the Delegacy lxiii have doubled in number Scholars are now included from six European countries instead of from only France and Germany as heretofore Professor Chloros remains Director of the course The lecturers are drawn mainly from the Faculty members although some specialist lectures were given this year by Master Jacob Mr Norman Marsh and by members of other Colleges Members of staff have again acted as external examiners for other Colleges and Universities Professor Chloros has so acted for the Universities of Exeter and Dublin and was on the French Government Selection Committee for British scholars and the Advisory Committee on Staff for the University of Ghana Mr Hughes continued as Chairman of the External LL Board of Examiners Professor Andre Tunc of the University of Paris acted as External Examiner for the Faculty in the French Civil Law examination and Professor Karl Neumeyer of Lausanne and Wurzburg acted as External Examiner in German Civil Law Professor Chloros continued as member of the Preparatory Committee to set up the European University Institute in Florence and as British delegate to the Fundamental Legal Concepts Sub- Committee of the Council of Europe He was appointed member of the Working Group for the Third European Conference of Law Faculties to be held at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg in 1974 During the year he visited the Universities of Aix-en-Provence and Montpellier the Institute of Comparative Law in Florence and the University of Pavia and attended two-day meeting of the French Society of Comparative Legislation in Rennes He gave lectures in the University of Paris in both the French-speaking and Flemish-speaking departments of the Catholic University in Louvain and in the Inter- university Institute in Brussels He also spoke for the in con- frontation on the future of French and English Law in Europe Professor Cohn lectured to the Conference on Urban Develop- ment in London on 'The German Property Market' He also gave guest lectures at Manchester University on the structure of the German Civil Code and at the University of Marburg on the interpretation of English Law He continued his course of lectures at the University of Frankfurt on the English Law of Contract Professor Graveson the Head of the Department continued as Dean of the Faculty of Laws of the University of London and as member of the Review Body on the Remuneration of Doctors and Dentists He lectured at the Interuniversity Institute in Brussels on the
