xxiv Annual Report of the Delegacy Professor of Philosophy of Religion from 1945-55 made Fellow of the College in 1950 and Emeritus Professor in 1955 Professor Judges who died on February 13th 1972 at the age of 74 Professor Judges was student of the College from 1922-25 when he obtained his with first class honours in History From 1949 until he retired in 1965 he was Professor of the History of Education Mr Lockspeiser who died on February 3rd 1972 aged 67 He was visiting lecturer in the Faculty of Music Mrs Dorothy Rhodes who died on May 4th 1973 As Miss Brittain she joined the staff of the College in 1927 as an Assistant in the French Department She was Tutor to Women Students for 1932-59 and was elected Fellow of the College in 1944 Professor Isaacs who died in May 1973 was Lecturer in English at the College from 1924-42 He was appointed Professor of English Language and Literature at Queen Mary College in 1951 fellows The following were appointed Fellows of the College Dame Joyce Bishop -Supervising Tutor in the Depart- ment of Education from 1963 to 1973 Formerly Head Mistress Godolphin and Latymer School Hammersmith 1935-63 Dr Cohn dr iur ll -Visiting Professor in European Law since 1967 sometime Professor of Law in the University of Breslau Professor Coulson -Formerly Professor of Theoretical Physics 1947-52 now Professor of Theoretical Chemistry Uni- versity of Oxford Mrs Rita Hamilton -es-l -A former student now Senior Lecturer in Spanish Mrs Hamilton has served on the full-time staff of the College since 1946 Dr Merrison -A former student now Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bristol Professor Wilkins hon ll Nobel Laureate -Professor of Biophysics and Head of Department distinctions and appointments gained by past and present members of the college Past Staff Canon Churchill has been appointed Dean of Carlisle He was Chaplain of King's College from 1953-60
