220 Studentships Scholarships Exhibitions Bursaries and Prizes CENTENARY SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES for Regulations see page 190 RABBETH AND OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS Medical students who may wish to take the four-term course for the Sc degree in Anatomy Biochemistry Pharmacology or Physiology between passing their Second Medical examination and beginning their clinical course are eligible for the Rabbeth and other scholarships of which the conditions are given on page 212 under Faculty of Natural Science Postgraduate Award LAYTON SCIENCE RESEARCH PRIZE for Regulations see page 213 Prizes WARNEFORD PRIZES These Prizes were founded by the Rev Samuel Wilson Warneford ll for the encouragement of the study of Theology among the full-time medical students of King's College There are two Prizes the first of the value of £50 consisting of silver medal and books or instruments and the second of the value of £30 consisting of bronze medal and books or instruments Candidates must have passed in at least two subjects in the examinations at King's College or the associated Hospital Medical School held in the March or summer of the calendar year in which they enter for Prize No one will be eligible to compete for the Prize who does not qualify in medical subjects Candidates must produce certificates of good conduct ii of regular attendance at Divinity lectures and of having passed the annual examination in Divinity during his course at the College Candidates must submit not later than October 31st an Essay of 000 to 000 words on some theological subject comprised within the terms of the Trust which will be prescribed one year in advance The subject for 1975 may be any one of the following Soul and body Vitalism and religion The problem of suffering Intending candidates are advised to ask for an interview with the Dean of King's College London before beginning an essay in order that they may receive some direction ALFRED HUGHES MEMORIAL PRIZES These Prizes were founded in 1902 by his friends and colleagues in memory of Alfred William Hughes Professor of Anatomy from 1897 to 1900
