198 Studentships Scholarships Exhibitions Bursaries and Prizes COUNCIL PRIZE FOR CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE This prize was established by the Council in 1965 from the gift of £300 from an anonymous donor in order to provide an annual prize for the third year student who gains the highest aggregate marks in the Doctrine papers at the end of the second and third years of the course The prize will be to the value of £20 HANSON PRIZES FOR PHILOSOPHY These prizes were established by the Council in 1965 in memory of Prebendary Richard Hanson Dean of King's College from 1932 to 1945 sum of £200 was raised for this purpose by former students who wished to express their gratitude to former teacher and Dean further sum of £500 was con- tributed by Mrs Hanson The income from these two sums will be used to provide annual prizes for the third year students who gain the highest aggregate marks in the Philosophy papers at the end of the second and third years of the course and in the Christian Ethics paper at the end of the third year of the course The prizes in Philosophy will be to the value of £18 for first prize and £9 for second The prize in Christian Ethics will be to the value of £13 WOODS PRIZE The prize was established by the council in 1969 from the gift of £250 from the brothers of the late Professor Woods Professor of Divinity at King's College London from 1964 to 1966 in order to provide an annual prize for the student who in the opinion of the Faculty of Theology shall have merited the award on the basis of paper on Christian Ethics in the final examination for the The prize will be to the value of £14 PAUL CAUDWELL PRIZE This Prize was established in 1972 from bequest of £500 from the estate of Miss Irene Caudwell The Prize of books to the value of £19 will be awarded annually to the student in the first year course in the Faculty who in the opinion of the Theological Professional Board has achieved the best result Ill Available in the Faculty of Arts Entrance Scholarship WORSLEY SCHOLARSHIP For Regulations see page 186
