100 General Information Halliday Hall South Side Clapham Common London SW4 Warden Mrs Alison Jefford This Hall provides accommodation for 133 women students of all faculties in King's College Fees are from £222 to £242 per session of 30 weeks and include all meals except lunch Monday to Friday Halliday Hall was built as hotel in the 1930's and much of its unique atmosphere derives from this original use There is for instance very large number of study bedrooms with their own bathrooms the rooms themselves offer an interesting variety of shapes and sizes and the provision of lounges library and other public rooms is unusually generous There is also large and attractive walled garden which includes tennis court The Student House Committee plays an active part in the social arrangements and was for instance largely instrumental in the planning opening and running of the Halliday Hall Club bar UNIVERSITY HALLS OF RESIDENCE Canterbury Hall Warden Miss Verena McCririck Canterbury Hall situated in Cartwright Gardens WC1H 9EE has accommo- dation for 221 women students Fees are £264-60 for session of approximately 30 weeks and include all meals except lunch Monday to Friday College Hall Warden Mrs Joyce Witt sc College Hall situated in Malet Street WC1E 7ΗΖ overlooks the University site and provides residence for 220 women students of the University Fees are from £252 to £264-60 session All meals except Monday to Friday lunches Nutford Housb Warden Miss Barbara Sutherland Nutford House Brown Street off George Street W1H 6AH 01-262 4431 is University hall of residence with accommodation for 194 women students mainly in single study-bedrooms The fees for session of 30 weeks are Single room £252 share of double room £264-60 All meals except lunch Monday to Friday The three above-mentioned halls of residence for women students together with Hughes Parry Hall have common application form which may be obtained from any one of the Halls stamped addressed envelope must be sent with the enquiry The completedform should be sent to the Hall of first choice by the end of Aprilfor admission thefollowing October There are occasional vacancies in the course of the academic year
