8ο General Information Residential accommodation for students has had to be sought away from the Strand and the College possesses three halls of residence- at Vincent Square SW1 Clapham Common SW4 and Champion Hill SE5 while there is residential College for the fourth-year Theological students at Canterbury The College athletic ground is at Mitcham in Surrey within reasonable travelling distance of the College Daily Service and Lectures in Theology Under the terms of the King's College London Transfer Act 1908 the Council of King's College is required to provide at least one daily service in the College Chapel which is open to all students The time- table must be so arranged as to leave the time of the Chapel service free from lectures but no student is under any compulsion to attend and no student may be subject to any disability on account of his religious belief Services are held twice daily in the College Chapel in term- time Morning Prayers at 30 and another at varying times each afternoon There is weekly celebration of Holy Communion on Wednesdays at 15 10 on the last day of term On the first day of term at 10 there is special service with sermon Corn- memoration Service is also held in Commemoration Week The Council of the College provides weekly lectures in theology in the Michaelmas and Lent terms and the time-table of classes in each faculty is so arranged as to allow any student who wishes to attend these lectures but no one is compelled to do so The lectures are de- signed for students desiring the Associateship of King's College non- theological and are provided for all full-time registered students of the College without extra fee The normal time is 10 on Mon- days an alternative hour is provided at 10 on Wednesdays for 2nd and rd year students in the Faculties of Natural Science Medical Science and Engineering and those students in the Faculty of Arts attending intercollegiate lectures who are unable to attend on Monday Students can also be admitted by special permission to attend without extra fee single course of lectures among those regularly given in the Faculty of Theology Associateship of King's College Non-theological All students of University of London King's College may obtain the Diploma of the Associateship of King's College under the following regulations
