Studentships Scholarships Exhibitions Bursaries and Prizes 219 of Electrical Engineers to student of one of the following London institutions University College King's College City and Guilds Central Technical College and the Finsbury Technical College who shall be recommended by his College as having distinguished himself in the study of Electrical Engineering and who purposes continuing his studies in that subject DAVID HUGHES SCHOLARSHIP This Scholarship which is of the value of £50 is given annually out of the legacy bequeathed to the Institution of Electrical Engineers by the late Professor David Hughes and is awarded on the same terms as the Salomons Scholarship CENTENARY SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES for Regulations see page 186 Postgraduate Awards TUTORIAL STUDENTSHIPS for Regulations see page 183 LAYTON SCIENCE RESEARCH PRIZE for Regulations see page 209 Medals and Prizes TENNANT PRIZE This Prize was founded in 1881 under the will of James Tennant Professor of Mineralogy from 1853 to 1869 The Prize consists of books or instruments to the value of £7 50 The Prize is open to all regular students in the Faculty of Engineering The Prize will be awarded annually on the result of the year's work in the Department of Geology SIEMENS PRIZES These Prizes were founded in 1883 by Sir Charles William Siemens Each Prize consists of books or instruments to the value of £5 The Prizes are open to all full-time students of the Faculty of Engineering who have been placed in the first or second class in the examination in Engin- eering Metallurgy
