190 Studentships Scholarships Exhibitions Bursaries and Prizes The Prize which is of the value of £70 is offered once in every two years It is for an English essay on some subject falling within the scope of the Philo- sophy or of the Psychology of Religion The College may assign subject for the essay or it may invite qualified graduates or Associates to submit subjects upon which they may desire to work The Prize is open to all graduates and Associates of the College who have studied in the College for not less than two sessions and are not of more than six years' standing since taking their degree or Associateship in the College The adjudicators on each occasion shall be three and shall be appointed by the Council from Professors or Lecturers in Philosophy of Religion or in the Departments of Philosophy and Psychology together with another person not member of the College staff at the time of his appointment The adjudicators may recommend that the successful essay be printed as the Caldecott Prize essay but the printing shall not be obligatory on the writer The Prize shall include at least one book fully bound and stamped with the College Arms and the Prizeman may if he so desire have books to the full value of the Prize so bound and stamped If the Prize be not gained so often as once in every three years any interest on the fund shall not accumulate but shall be added to the capital sum for the increase of the value of the Prize The next offer will be made in the Lent term 1975 Essays must be sent to the Registrar of the College not later than the second Wednesday of the preceding December Prizes open to students in the Faculty of Theology only TRENCH GREEK TESTAMENT PRIZE The friends and former pupils of the Most Reverend Richard Chenevix Trench Archbishop of Dublin formerly Professor of Exegesis of the New Testa- ment at King's College presented to the College the sum of £156 for the purpose of founding Prize to bear his name The Prize consists of books to the value of £27 The Prize will be awarded to the student gaining the highest marks in the two New Testament papers at the final examination BICKNELL PRIZE This Prize was founded in 1935 from funds subscribed by his colleagues and pupils in memory of the Rev Edward John Bicknell Professor of the Exegesis of the New Testament from 1928 to 1934
