44 Faculties and Courses of Study been introduced into die existing curriculum The fifth subject con- cerns those aspects of Pathology which may be suitably introduced at this stage It is hoped that the introduction of the new course now called Basic Medical Sciences and Pharmacology will be an initial step in making the second course more flexible and allowing increasing integration with courses taught in the School of Biological Sciences After completing the second course candidates who are successful in the second examination for Medical Degrees proceed to their clinical training at one of the following hospital medical schools King's College Hospital Medical School Denmark Hill London SE5 St George's Hospital Medical School Hyde Park Corner London SW1 Westminster Medical School Horseferry Road London SW1 SECOND COURSE The course of study for the second examination for the degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery normally extends over three terms The subjects studied are Anatomy Physiology and Biochemistry and particularly the aspects of these subjects relevant to Dentistry Students successful at the examination held after three terms proceed for their clinical training to King's College Hospital Dental School Denmark Hill London SE5 Unsuccessful students are allowed second attempt after period of six months If they fail at this time they are required to withdraw from the College -oiff vmoluiA no litsan anifa jrii nt 3br yniod sit znoi Ā£73jhi irtm INTERCALATED SC COURSES These have already been mentioned Students who develop particular interest in Biochemistry Pharmacology or Physiology during the second course can apply to take an additional course leading to the Sc degree in the University of London This course lasts three terms and is closely integrated with those run in the School of Biological Sciences so that students are afforded
