Annual Report of the Delegacy lxxxiii Society for the Study of Theology and the Oxford Societyfor Historial Theology Professor Lewis was one of the three British members of conference of philosophers at Madras in December 1970 He presided at some of the meetings and subsequently visited several Indian universities He lectured at Teheran University on his way home from India The Reverend Professor Parrinder lectured to the quinquennial conference of the International Association for the History of Religion in Stockholm and delivered the annual Divinity Lecture at the Institute of Education London He gave eight talks on world religions on Anglia television and took part in television discussion on Myth and Incarnation He read paper at an international seminar on Religion in South Asia at the School of Oriental and African Studies lectured at St Osyth's College Clacton at London extra-mural conference at joint conference of London University chaplains and at the Missionary Institute Totteridge He was elected co-chairman of the Shap Working Party on World Religions in Education and lectured at its annual conference Professor Parrinder examined at the university of Ghana and visited the universities of Lagos Ibadan and Ife in Nigeria DEPARTMENT OF NEW TESTAMENT STUDIES The Reverend Professor Evans lectured at Moor Park College Farnham on 'The resurrection appearances of Jesus Christ in the New Testament' He gave four lectures on the Passion narrative to the William Temple Association and also lectured to the Cambridge Theological Society the Society for the Study of Theology and the old students of King's College at Canterbury The Reverend Hickling gave course on the New Testament for the Extra-Mural Department of the University of London in the Michaelmas term He also gave course of lectures to Anglican ordinands at St George's College Jerusalem during August 1971 Professor James Robinson of Claremont California visiting Europe as Fulbright Scholar conducted seminar in the department in May 1971 on 'The new quest of the historical Jesus' DEPARTMENT OF OLD TESTAMENT STUDIES The Reverend Professor Ackroyd addressed the Hull and District Theological Society on 'The theology of tradition' and the Origen Society Oxford on 'Aspects of the Jeremiah tradition
