UNIVERSITY OF LONDON KING'S COLLEGE ANNUAL REPORT OF THE DELEGACY FOR THE SESSION 1970-71 Presented to the Court and Senate of the University of London GENERAL REPORT membership of the delegacy Warm tribute was paid to two members who resigned in 1971 Sir Angus Gillan retiring after twenty years' service his retirement from the Treasurership was recorded last year and Sir John Evans who was first appointed member of the Delegacy in 1961 The following new appointments to the Delegacy for the year beginning March 1st 1971 were made by the Senate Professor Bondi Mr Hunter Johnston Mr Kirk elected from January 1971 Professor Brown nominated by the Pro- fessorial Board in place of Professor Winnington-Ingram who retired in rotation Mrs Evelyn Cowie nominated by the Pro- fessorial Board in place of Dr Mary Whittaker resigned and Dr Duggan nominated by the non-professorial staff Mr Foskett ll Miss Patricia Hegarty and Miss Susan Storer nominated by the student body The Hon David Smith was re-elected Chairman Sir Ivison Macadam mech was elected Vice-Chair- man and Mr Baird ll was re-elected Treasurer changes in the staff Retirements Four members of the academic staff retired at the end of the session Professor Hey Professor Ross Professor Wilmington- xix
