THE THEOLOGICAL DEPARTMENT of KING'S COLLEGE LONDON UNIVERSITY OF LONDON ANNUAL REPORT OF THE COUNCIL FOR THE SESSION 1970-71 presented to the COURT of the COLLEGE COUNCIL AND CORPORATION The Council has met three times in joint session with the Theological Committee The Council received with deep sense of loss and indebtedness the news of the death of three Fellows of King's College on April 4th 1971 of the Honourable Sir Arthur Howard Life- Governor Chairman of the Delegacy from 1950 to 1969 on March 10th 197L of the Right Reverend Craske student of the College from 1922 to 1927 Bishop of Gibraltar from 1953 to 1959 and on December 26th 1970 of the Right Reverend and Right Hon- ourable Montgomery Campbell chairman of Council from 1956 to 1961 On November 17th 1970 the Council was represented in the College Chapel at Memorial Service to Miss Audrey Bullard who taught students skills in speaking and reading from 1929 to 1939 and from 1945 to 1967 The Council heard with pleasure of the conferment by the Univer- sity of London of the title of Professor of Christian Literature on Dr Simon student of the College from 1935 to 1938 and member of the staff of the Theological Department from 1945 and of the translation of the Right Reverend Trillo from the suffragan bishopric of Hertford to the diocesan bishopric of Chelmsford Bishop Trillo was student of the College from 1935 to 1938 The
