140 Faculties and Courses of Study dental studies Lecturer in Special Dental Anatomy and Histology Brown sc Illinois ph Belfast orth together with members of the above staffs of the Departments of Anatomy Biochemistry and Physiology The Medical faculty of King's College is fortunate in being part of an institution in which seven other faculties are represented The associ- ation of students of Medicine and Dentistry with students from these other faculties is one of the major advantages afforded by beginning ones Medical Education at King's College Intending students should apply to one of the Medical Schools listed below and not directly to King's College The Medical faculty provides courses for students reading for the second examination and for the second examination in the University of London These are respectively the second exam- ination for the Medical degree and the second examination for the degree in Dental Surgery At present the second course lasts for five terms and the second course lasts for three terms In addition special courses are available in Biochemistry Pharma- cology or Physiology for students who show promise during the second course These courses are intercalated between the preclinical second course and the clinical course in medicine at the hospital They last for further four terms and lead to the appro- priatc Sc degree in the University of London Facilities are also available for postgraduate research and study in the Faculty of Medicine Undergraduate Courses ADMISSION OF STUDENTS Details of the procedure to be followed by students seeking admission to undergraduate courses are given on page 79 The selection of candidates for admission to the Faculty of Medical Science of King's College is conducted in conjunction with the medical schools of its three associated hospitals King's College Hospital St George's Hospital or Westminster Hospital
