Ix Annual Report of the Delegacy history of technology was invited to serve on the committee of the Institutions of Electrical Engineers dealing with this subject Dr Lindsay represented the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers of New York as member of the organising committee of the international conference on gas discharges in London in Sep- tember He contributed to seminar on Computer-aided Design in Electron Optics' held in the University of Sheffield Dr Freeman lectured to conference on 'S Units Dimensions in Electromagnetism' held by the Institute of Physics in December Professor Greig continued to serve on the Royal Society UNESCO Committee and attended UNESCO meeting in Paris on engineeering education Elected President of the Watt Club of the Heriot-Watt University Professor Greig delivered his Presidential Address in January 'The Engineering Technician-a Boulton Watt Invention' He contributed to conference on the Organisation and Social Implications of Science in Africa held in Aberdeen in September talk entitled 'Technology Industry and Development' He also lectured to the Science Club at Haileybury and Imperial Service College Early in the session the department welcomed as visitor Dr Stanislav Dado member of the staff of the Prague Technical Uni- versity Czechoslovakia Dr Dado whose visit was sponsored by the Leverhulme Trust Fund worked on research project under the direction of Dr Deeley FACULTY OF LAWS Number of Students Undergraduate 1st Year Intermediate 2nd Year Final Part rd Year Final Part II Postgraduate LL Phil Ph Faculty Notes The session was notable in particular for the reorganisation of meetings of the Laws faculty to provide for student participation Faculty 83 61 62 80 34
