Studentships Scholarships Exhibitions Bursaries and Prizes 215 university should not make nomination if they consider that candidate of sufficient merit is not available On receipt of each university nomination the cheque will be forwarded directly to the prize winner The certificate will be presented if possible on suitable occasion arranged between the Local Centre of the Institution concerned and the university INSTITUTION OF CIVIL ENGINEERS PRIZE This prize was establised in 1970 by the Institution of Civil Engineers The award will be made biennially on the recommendation of the Head of the Department of Civil Engineering and will consist of Certificate of Merit and the sum of Ā£10 The prize will be awarded to the undergraduate in the second or final year of the course who shall have most distinguished himself not only in examinations but also in course work and design
