Studentships Scholarships Exhibitions Bursaries and Prizes 177 II Available in the Faculty of Theology and Theological Department Entrance Scholarship WORSLEY SCHOLARSHIP For Regulations see page 174 Undergraduate Awards WINCHESTER BURSARY Founded in 1952 by the Diocesan Ordination Candidates' Committee of the Diocese of Winchester to assist men resident in that Diocese who intend to take Holy Orders in the Church of England The conditions of award are as follows The Bursary will be of the value of £40 year for four years One Bursary will be offered every fourth year to candidates resident in the Diocese of Winchester intending to take Holy Orders in the Church of England The Bursary will be tenable in the Theological Department of King's College London The Bursary will be awarded on the results of the examinations conducted in the Faculty of Theology and Theological Department during the Easter term of the first session in which the successful candidate is full-time registered Internal student Candidates for the Bursary must give notice to the Dean of King's College not later than the first day of the Easter term of their intention to compete They should at the same time send letter of application to the Bishop of Winchester Wolvesey Winchester The holder of the Bursary will be required to continue to attend the Faculty of Theology at King's College as an Internal student of the University of London and to follow the combined course for the Diploma and the degree of the University of London except that special per- mission may be given by the Dean of King's College for postponement of tenure first emolument of £40 will be paid on the announcement of the name of the successful scholar and thereafter payment of the remaining emoluments will be made in nine equal terminal instalments subject to the satisfactory attendance conduct and progress of the holder
