120 Faculties and Courses of Study Part II Jurisprudence and Legal Theory Any three of the following which have not been taken at Part Principles of the Law of Evidence English Administrative Law Public International Law English Conflict of Laws 10 Conveyancing and the Social Control of Land 11 Succession and Estate Duty 12 Labour Law 13 Family Law 14 Criminal Responsibility and the Elements of Penology 15 Company Law and Partnership 16 Commercial Law 17 Muhammadan Law 18 Hindu Law 19 African Law Before commencing their course for Part II of the LL Degree Examination students should obtain confirmation that courses in the subjects chosen will be available CONDITIONS OF ENTRY In order to be qualified to commence course of study in the Faculty of Laws in this College an applicant must have satisfied the general requirements of the University for the procedure to be followed see General Information page 75 by means of subjects selected from the approved list of subjects drawn up by the University and set out in the Regulations Relating to University Entrance Requirements Copies should be available in schools but in case of difficulty copy can be obtained from the Secretary to the University Entrance Requirements Depart- ment University of London Senate House London WC1E 7HU One of the principal grounds for admission is evidence of high in- tellectual quality which may be in any field Subject to this considera- tion students who intend to read for the Law degree may find it helpful to take History Latin and English among their subjects at the examination for the General Certificate of Education at either Ordinary or Advanced level but no preference is given to candidates who have taken these subjects Those wishing to study French Civil Law or
