General Information Halliday Hall South Side Clapham Common London SW4 Warden Danielian sc ph Built in 1934 as an hotel and acquired by the College after the war this hall of residence for men was opened in October 1950 It will be closed in December 1970 for alterations and re-open in October 1971 as hall of residence for women students UNIVERSITY HALLS OF RESIDENCE Canterbury Hall Warden Miss Verena McCririck Canterbury Hall situated in Cartwright Gardens WC1 has accommodation for 220 women students 50 places are reserved for King's College students Fees are from £207-90 to £216-30 for session of approximately 30 weeks and include all meals except lunch Monday to Friday College Hall Warden Mrs Joyce Witt sc College Hall situated in Malet Street WC1 overlooks the University site and provides residence for 220 women students of the University Fees are from £207-90 to £216-30 session All meals except Monday to Friday lunches Nutford House Warden Mrs Barnett Nutford House Brown Street off George Street Wi 01-262 4431 is Uni- versity hall of residence with accommodation for 193 women students mainly in single study-bedrooms The fees for session of approximately 30 weeks are Single room £210 share of double room £201 All meals except lunch Monday to Friday The three above-mentioned halls of residence for women students have common application form which may be obtainedfrom any one of the Halls stamped addressed envelope must be sent with the enquiry The completed form should be sent to the Hall of first choice by the end of March for admission the following October There are occasional vacancies in the course of the academic year Commonwealth Hall Warden Duckworth ph An intercollegiate hall of residence for about 400 men students Individual study-bedrooms Fees about £210 session payable in three terminal instal- ments Selection is made after consideration of the individual student's needs and his ability to benefit from and contribute to life in residential com- munity Applications to the Hall Secretary Commonwealth Hall Cartwright Gardens WC1
